About

A small studio that likes to explain its work

Hardy Design Co. is a small independent design studio and resource desk that publishes practical graphic and web design tutorials, honest tool reviews, and curated resource roundups for junior designers and small-business owners learning design by doing.

It started from a simple frustration. Most design advice online is either too abstract to use or too shallow to trust. We wanted a place that sits in the middle: real fundamentals, explained plainly, that a beginner can apply the same day without a design degree or an expensive subscription.

Who this is for

Two kinds of people, mostly. Junior designers building their eye and their confidence, and small-business owners who have ended up doing their own graphics whether they wanted to or not. If you have ever stared at a blank canvas and not known where to start, the guides here are written for you.

How we work

Every guide has to earn its place by being useful the same afternoon. We explain the reasoning behind a rule, not just the rule, because understanding is what lets you break it well later. And we try to be honest about tools: when the free one is enough, when a template will hold you back, and when something is worth paying for.

How this is funded

Reading here is free, and it stays that way. We do not rank tools in exchange for payment and we do not run sponsored posts dressed up as advice. If we ever add links that earn a small commission, we will say so clearly, and it will never change a recommendation. Our reputation is the only asset a resource site really has.

Questions, corrections, or a topic you wish someone would cover? We read everything. Thecontact page has the details, and corrections are genuinely welcome, because getting the craft right matters more than looking right.
